Total CEU’s:

Big Sky Athletic Training Sports Medicine Conference is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. Up to 20 CEUs may be awarded. Speakers may apply to the Board of Certification for 10 CEUs for presenting.

Total EBP’s:

In 2017 the BOC awarded 12 EBP credits. There is no cost for EBP credits and it is expected that 2018 will have 12 EBP credits.

Total CME’s:

Continuing Medical Education credits are also at no cost. In 2017 The Big Sky Athletic Training Sports Medicine Conference was able to award 12.0 CMEs through Western Michigan University’s Homer Stryker Medical School.


All talks are to be in digital format for PowerPoint presentations. Computerized digital projection will be used for audio/visual displays. Topics for presentation may vary to whatever professional area is of your interest. This meeting is intended to be a free communication among interested professionals. Most attendees will be Athletic Trainers, Allied Medicine Professionals and Physicians. Unfortunately there will be no stipends or travel reimbursement given for speakers who attend..

Poster Presentations:

Poster presentations have been included since 2014 and have been a resounding success. Poster Presenters will receive 10 CEUs for posters. Special emphasis is given to original research, especially in the area of concussions. All costs for poster productions will be paid for by the BSATSMC.


Big Sky Ski Resort located 60 miles south of Bozeman, Montana, and 50 miles north of West Yellowstone, Wyoming, which is just outside of Yellowstone National Park. Regularly scheduled daily flights from a host of cities fly into Bozeman from all over the US. In 2015 Big Sky Resort has purchased the adjacent property, Moonlight Basin Ski Resort, to become part of the entire ski area available to Big Sky skiers, and largest in North America.


Big Sky Resort is a “ski in/ski out” facility. Call 800.548.4486 when making housing reservations and use the abbreviations, BSATSMC for the special rates. Once you are on premises, you will not need transportation, local transit is provided to the immediate mountain area and village.


There is no cost for attending the meeting. The entire cost of the meeting is paid for by the conference sponsors. Sponsorship is limited to activities outside of the meeting to comply with CME, CEU and EBP accrediting.
